The Journal for Romance Languages and their Didactics is being published biannualy since 2006. It has been using a double-blind peer-review process since 2023.
The journal complements the established specialist and didactic journals. It does this by not only restricting itself to asingle Romance philology and by presenting general studies and observations and teaching concepts next to fundemental articles. The traditional sections like "Essays", "Reviews", and "Received Works" are extended by innovative headings like "Magazine Exhibit", "Profile" and "Seminars and Classes".
The journal covers the entire width of this scientific discipline: From multilingual and literary didactics to contributions focusing on countries and interculturarilty, a diverse program is waiting for the reader. Current principles in educational politics like competency and output orientation, eduactional standards and new skills like language mediation and audiovisual comprehension have their place here, too. The authors are veteran teachers and renowned professors of the didactics of the Romance languages. This leads to a dialogue that is beneficial for both sides.
