The book series Schema Pedagogics discusses the new pedagogic-psychological impulses for educational studies, social pedagogy, and social work. The goal is to achieve a deeper understanding of behavioral problems, delinquency as well as dysfunction in relationships and interactions between the professional staff and the client.
Schema pedagogics lies at the intersection between psychotherapy and pedagogy and is set to help members of the social work force in dealing with their respective target groups, and to coach them in the relevant competences. the basis for this innovative concept are the so-called "schema-oriented" psychotherapies (cognitive therapy, clarification-oriented psychotherapy, schema therapy) as well as neurobiology, transaction analysis, attachment research, psychoanalysis, cognitive behavior therapy, and depth psychology. Volumes are published on a regular basis, building bridges between different psychosocial fields of practice.
