There is reason to celebrate

The Journal of Soviet and Post-Soviet Politics and Society (JSPPS) turns five and we are thankful to all who have accompanied us on this journey. Since April 2015, ten issues have been published, dealing with various topics such as protest movements, gender, political violence, identity, or multilingualism in post-Socialist spaces.

The journal was launched as an accompanying publication to the book series Soviet and Post-Soviet Politics and Society. Its editor-in-chief is Dr Julie Fedor, University of Melbourne. Like the book series, founded and edited by Dr Andreas Umland, the journal offers an interdisciplinary forum for new and original research on the Soviet and post-Soviet world.

New issue in May

The forthcoming issue (available in May 2020) is co-edited by Rory Finnin, Ivan Kozachenko, Andreas Umland and Yuliya Yurchuk. It contains two special sections: “Multilingualism in Ukraine” and “Issues in the History and Memory of the OUN III”.
