The series Culture – Communication – Cooperation documents the current research in Language, Cultural and Social Studies that deal with communication and cooperation in different cultural environments
A special focus lies on Intercultural Communication and Learning, Migration and Biographical research, and Gender Studies. In methodological respect, the research can be primarily situated in the fields of Dialogue Analysis, Sociolinguistics and qualitative Social research.
This series especially aims to support the publishing activity of gifted junior researchers. Because of this, excellent degree theses that deal with urgent, much researched yet still unsolved questions of Intercultural Communication and that reflect the current state of research.
The Editors:
Dr. phil. habil. Gabriele Berkenbusch is professer for Romance Languages with a focus on Economic Spanish at the Department of Languages at the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau (WHZ).Her research interests lie especially in the fields of Sociolinguistics, Dialogue Analysis, Intercultural Communication and Economic Communication. She lead various projects with her students on Research Learning. Her extensive publications deal with a number of Romance languages: Spanish, Catalonian and French, for which she was awarded the Venia legendi of the University of Tübingen through habilitation papers. She also publishes in these languages. She has been abroad in a variety of institutions of school and university education in the aforementioned language areas, sometimes brief, sometimes longer. Additionally, she has extensive job experience working with international corporations.
Dr. phil. Katharina von Helmolt, M.A., is professor for Intercultural Communication and Cooperation at the Department for General Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies at Munich College. She is head of the Master's program Intercultural Communication and Cooperation Her reseach interests lie in Dialogue Analysis in Intercultural Contacts, Communication on Intercultural Teams, Intercultural Learning and the mediation of Intercultural Competences. She has extensive job experience from working in the Department of International Human Resources in internationally acting corporations. Next to Research and Education, she is also active as a trainer and advisor in international corporations and organizations.
