We are happy to announce that we will be part of Cafe Kyiv 2026.

We are also organzing our own Panel: "Where Can One Publish Research on Ukraine?"

23.02.2026 | Colosseum Berlin | Book Stage | 17:00

Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine was prepared with and includes a large information war distorting, hiding, perverting etc. the truth about this assault and about Ukraine. The Russian government systematically deploys mis- and disinformation to influence public opinion across the world in favor of the Kremlin. This is not only a challenge for journalism, but also for publicism, literature and scholarship. Where and how can credible, independent perspectives on Ukraine and the war be published? Ukrainian and German publishers and series editors who are deeply committed to amplifying Ukrainian voices will present their outlets and discuss opportunities for publishing individual as well as collective research.

Speakers:
Alla Vaysband, “Dukh i Litera” Publishing and Research Association, Kyiv

Susann Worschech, Book Series “Interdisciplinary Ukrainian Studies,” Nomos Verlag

Andre Störr, Book Series “Ukraine im Fokus,” Verlag Friedrich Mauke

Iwona Reichardt, Magazine “New Eastern Europe,” Kolegium Europy Wschodniej

Simon Schlegel, Website "Ukraine verstehen," Zentrum Liberale Moderne

Michael Dobbins, Book series "Ukraine erklären," Springer VS

Moderator:
Andreas Umland, Book Series “Ukrainian Voices”/SPPS & JSPPS, ibidem-Verlag
