The Journal for Romance Languages and their Didactics (ZRomSD) has been published biennially since 2006. Since 2023, all submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process as standard practice.

ZRomSD occupies a unique position within the landscape of foreign language education journals by encompassing the didactics of all Romance languages, rather than confining its focus to a single philology. In addition to the traditional "Articles" and "Journal Review" sections, it has featured a "Forum" section since issue 21,1 (2027). Through this addition, ZRomSD addresses a notable gap in the field by fostering a space for publication and discussion that transcends standard empirical and theoretical-conceptual research to highlight the full diversity of academic exchange.

The "Forum" provides a platform for book reviews, profiles of newly appointed scholars in language education, and reports on relevant conferences and research projects. It also highlights innovative theory-practice collaborations, research data infrastructures, corpora, and other specialist initiatives, thereby fostering networking and elevating the profile of current developments in Romance foreign language didactics.

The journal accepts submissions in German, English, French, Spanish, and Italian.

Interested authors are invited to submit their manuscripts. Please direct your submissions to the following email addresses:
