The series Consumer Health Care publishes selected papers that are written for the Master's program Consumer Health Care at the Charité University Clinic Berlin. In doing this, the series aims to make the current state of research available to a broader audience. The series is characterized by its interdisciplinary approach: pharmaceutical and medical topics are connected to questions of health economics, law and ethics. A mutual factor of the papers is the observation of the topics from a consumer point of view. Through this interdisciplinary approach, everyone from pharmaceutical industry, health insurance providers, consulting firms to interested laypersons can profit from the mostly empirical insights of the volumes
